That means listening before we start designing, helping you
understand your choices, keeping you informed as your project
moves forward, and being there to answer your questions along the way.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you call us.
You just need an idea of what you’d like your backyard to become.

It all starts with a conversation.
Maybe you’re ready for a new deck. Maybe you’ve always wanted
a screened porch. Maybe you’re thinking about a patio or a
complete outdoor living space.
Or maybe you just know you want to do something with your
backyard and aren’t quite sure where to begin.
That’s perfectly okay.

The next step is getting together at your home and seeing the

We’ll walk the property with you, take measurements, look at
existing conditions, and talk about what’s possible.
This is where we start discussing the size, layout, access,
elevations, existing structures, and how your new outdoor
space will connect with your home.
Pictures and measurements can tell us a lot.
Standing in your backyard with you tells us even more.
Sometimes the best idea isn’t the one we started with.
That’s why we take the time to look, listen, and talk it
through together.
Now You Can See It
Before boards are cut or footings are dug, we want to have a plan.
Depending on your project, we’ll develop a design that helps
bring your ideas to life and gives you a better picture of what
we’re creating together.

This gives us an opportunity to work through the details together,
including project layout, size, decking, railings, steps, screened
areas, patios, lighting, colors, finishes, and other outdoor living features.
It’s much easier to make a change while we’re planning than
after construction has started.
The goal is simple: know where we’re going before we start building.
We Take Care of the Details
Once we’ve agreed on your project, there are a lot of things
happening behind the scenes.
Depending on the project, that can include final measurements,
material selections, engineering, permitting, inspections,
ordering materials, and scheduling.
We’ll also help guide you through the selections and decisions
that need to be made.
Decking colors, railings, pavers, screening, lighting and finishes
can sometimes feel overwhelming when you’re looking at all the possibilities.
Our job is to help explain those choices and help you find what
makes sense for your home, your style, and how you plan to use the space.
We’d much rather answer another question than have you unsure
about what’s happening at your own home.
This Is Where It Gets Exciting
Now we build.
This is where all the conversations, measurements, designs and
selections start turning into something you can actually see.
Good outdoor construction isn’t only about what you see when
we’re finished. The framing, footings, connections, structure,
and details underneath are just as important.
It starts with what’s underneath. A beautiful finished project
begins with a solid foundation.
Then, little by little, the project begins to take shape.
The decking goes down and the backyard you’ve been imagining
begins becoming real.
Throughout construction, we’ll keep communicating with you about
the progress of your project.
When working with existing homes and properties, occasionally
something unexpected can be discovered.
If that happens, we’ll explain what we’ve found and talk
through the options together.

Eventually we get to the part we’ve all been working toward.
The tools leave. Construction is finished.
And the space we’ve spent so much time talking about, planning,
designing and building is finally yours.
From an idea and a drawing to a finished outdoor space ready
for memories to be made.
We’ll walk through the finished project with you, answer any
remaining questions, and make sure you’re comfortable with your
new outdoor space.
Then it’s time to enjoy it.
Cook dinner outside. Invite the family over. Sit outside with
your morning coffee. Watch the kids play. Spend an evening with friends.
